Potato and Salmon
Ingredients
1 medium potato (approximately 180g)
70g fresh salmon fillet
30ml (2tbsp) of baby’s usual milk*
Utensils
- Saucepan
- Handheld blender or food processor

Method
- Peel, wash and dice the potato with a knife.
- Boil the potato for about 15 minutes, until soft.
- Cut the salmon into cubes, removing any bones as you cut, and add to the potato and continue cooking for 4 minutes.
- Drain and blend the salmon and potato with the milk using a handheld blender or food processor. Do not add any salt.
- Serve warm.
Tip
Cool any leftover salmon baby food and transfer to ice cube trays and freeze to provide convenient portions for future use. Why not try this recipe with other varieties of fish such as cod? You could also replace the potato with sweet potato, yam or butternut squash.

Salmon is a good source of essential fatty acids, so try to include this fish at least once a week.
