Cream of Pumpkin
Ingredients
250g pumpkin or butternut squash
60ml (4tbsp) of baby’s usual milk*
Utensils
- Saucepan
- Handheld blender or food processor

Method
- Peel the pumpkin and cut into small cubes.
- Cook the pumpkin in a pan of boiling water, for about 10-15 minutes until tender, drain.
- Blend the pumpkin with the milk using a handheld blender or food processor. Do not add any salt.
- Serve warm.
Tip
You could change this pumpkin baby food by replacing the pumpkin with sweet potato, butternut squash or yam. Cool any leftovers and transfer to ice cube trays and freeze to provide convenient portions for future use.

Pumpkin is a great weaning food. It is naturally sweet, and high in Beta Carotene which the body converts to Vitamin A.
